In order to attend SUSD Kindergarten during the 2010-2011 school year, a child must:  

• Be five years old on or before December 2, 2010 (per State of California law) and
• Physically reside within district boundary lines.
• Note: Information regarding 2010-2011 registration, Kinder interviews, Visitation Days and the Kinder Tea are posted on the sidebar module.

The following schedule applies to all three elementary school sites in SUSD.  For the first six weeks of school, all kindergarten students will attend school from 8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m.  This time frame will provide an opportunity for teachers and students to bond and for teachers to get to know their students' strengths and areas of need.  At the end of the first six weeks, the class will be divided into two groups (A & B) and will follow the extended day schedule below.

EXTENDED DAY (begins mid-October):  This schedule allows small group instruction during the lengthened day.
