Superintendent's Update - Budget/Staffing California continues to experience challenges with budget issues, including how to support public education. In our district, we will continue to be faced with funding reductions. At this time, nearly all of our programs and class size guidelines remain intact. SUSD is also able to retain 20 of the 21 teachers who received pink slips last spring.
We will be working with staff and the community on developing recommendations to our school board on how to best address this situation of uncertainty and change in the fiscal landscape. Our district remains steadfast in its commitment to providing the best education possible for all students.
