May 3, 2013 - Congratulations to SUSD Teacher of the Year, Mrs. Megan Queen! Megan is a champion of students, a model educator, and a caring professional. She brings joy, inspiration, and positive learning to all. All SUSD staff and learning community members recognize Megan as an impactful force as she has helped us develop and implement our district’s Transitional Kindergarten program, housed at Argonaut Elementary School. Parcel Tax Exemption Deadline is June 30 |
Saratoga Union School District Parcel Tax Exemption for Fiscal Year 2013-2014 For District Residents Who Meet Specific Requirements: If you own and reside in a home within the Saratoga Union School District boundaries, you may be eligible for an exemption from the parcel tax if: - You will be 65 years of age on or before June 30, 2013
OR - You receive supplemental security income for a disability
Please call the Saratoga Union School District office at (408)867-3424 extension 209# prior to June 28. Forms may also be downloaded directly HERE. |

Special Education programs are available to all eligible students from preschool through 8th grade in Saratoga Union School District. Common Core State Standards |

The Common Core State Standards (CCSS) were developed through a state-led initiative to establish consistent and clear education standards for English-language arts and mathematics that would better prepare students for success in college, career, and the competitive global economy. In 1997, California adopted its first set of content standards in English language arts and mathematics and over the last 15 years California has continued to develop standards-based education in other content areas. In August, 2010, the California State Board of Education adopted new Common Core State Standards (CCSS). April 12, 2013: Redwood Middle School has been selected as one of the 2013 California Distinguished Schools. The award is an honor and reflects Redwood Middle School’s strong commitment and innovative approaches to improving student academic achievement.
State Superintendent of Public Instruction Tom Torlakson described the schools receiving the 2013 California Distinguished School Award, "these schools have gone the extra mile to provide high-quality instruction that puts their students on the right path toward career and college. SELPA III Community Advisory Committee |

The Community Advisory Committee (CAC) is a group of parents and educators interested in helping children who have special educational needs. Our CAC represents eleven school districts in Santa Clara County. They meet once a month during the school year and work with school district staff and administration to promote our children’s needs and educate parents in our districts.
